Consolidating itunes libraries different computers
Every household does not require more than a single computer that can run i Tunes.
But, there are cases when it is required to stream videos and music to devices that may be connected all over the house.
It is not as simple as burning a compact disc and then loading it on to a new computer.
There are certain techniques, however, we can make the process of merging libraries easier. file can be used to import libraries from other computers.
On account of the large size of many i Tunes libraries, it is not easy to consolidate them.
To merge them permanently in Mac OSX, I will demonstrate you how to fix this knotty problem. Make sure update two i Tunes libraries with i Tunes 9 or later and maintain compatibility with the same version. Keep content in the same relative path on the new computer.
Case 1: Move your i Tunes media to a new computer with the same operating system. Navigate to the "Edit" in the main menu and choose an "Prefences" option from drop-down list.
If you have set the default path of i Tunes Media Folder to D:\Music, you should copy them to D:\Music on the other computer. All in all, make sure all songs you copy from the same corresponding path in any computer.
You can sync i Pod and other IOS device to the new i Tunes library in the same way as you did before.
